Survivors include children, Cathy Fries and husband Bob of Fenton Mo. Cristy Carroll and husband Don of Davidson N.C. Connie Tenney and husband Bryon of Fulton and Danny and wife Mary of Fulton. eight grandchildren, Amy, Kara, Laura, Daniel, Lindsey, Sam, Jackson, and Davis. fourteen greatgrandchildren. sister Lois Richardson of Aurora CO. and brother Gary Althiser of Fulton. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife of 63 years Illa.
Lloyd served in the US Navy from 1946 to 1948 aboard the USS Blueback submarine. He and his father Roy started the Kingdom Feed Service buisness and were later joined in that endeavor by his brothers Gary. After retirement Lloyd served several terms on the board of the Callaway County Rural Electric Assn. He was a member of the Heartland Church of the Nazarene.
Lloyd enjoyed fishing, camping, and traveling His favorite things were Cardinals baseball and in his younger life, riding horses with his best friend Tite Holland. Lloyd passed at the VA home in Mexico Mo. where he received excellent care from all staff that was always greatly appreciated by his wife and family.
Funeral services will be held at 11a.m. on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton Mo with Rev. Gary Garrett officiating. Visitation will be from 5;00 -7;00p.m. on Wednesday February 29, 2012 at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Callaway Memorial Gardens next to his wife Illa.
