Murrel Pennington, who was a resident of Vinita Oklahoma, died at age 67. He had been ill for several months.

He was a graduate from Oklahoma State University and worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

He held a position as a county supervisor for Farmers Home Administration,and was a member of the American Association of Retired Federal Employees.

In his later years, he became a rancher in Oklahoma. He was a member of the First Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.

He also was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II.

Services were held at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Charles McBee and Russell Cook officiating.

Interment took place at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Service of Vinita, Oklahoma.
