Mr. Eugene Talmadge Lee, 82, died unexpectly Saturday (February 25, 2012) at his residence.

He was a native of Brantley County and had lived most of his life in Brantley County. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vernell Corlee Gunter Lee; his parents, John Lee and Sally Chesser Lee; four brothers, Wilbur Lee, Ward Lee, B.T. Lee, Dean Lee; and three sisters, Florence Herrin, Sallie Martin and Jeanette Prescott.

He was retired from Scapa Dryers and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Ricky Lee (wife Connie) of Waycross; three grandchildren, Corlee DeVane (husband Eli) of Waycross, Ethan Lee and Lindsey Lee both of Schlatterville; three sisters, Sandra Dixon of Waycross, Rosa Jenkins of Jacksonville, FL, Vernon Carmichael of Branford, FL; three brothers, Marvin Lee of Waycross, Kenny Lee of Hortense, Earl Lee of Nahunta; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday (February 28, 2012) at Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in High Bluff Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Monday night from 5 until 7.
