In spite of the fact that the surname is spelled "McNeal" on the headstone and in some records..... our family surname is "Mc Neill" and has been for over one thousand years.... his father and his grandfather are found as "Mc Neill's" as are his siblings and their descendants. I have deferred to the incorrect spelling as it would seem that some have adopted it, but by placing the correct spelling of our family's name in parenthesis I am assuring that these family members are not lost to our family's history or to their relatives. JMCN
