Emil Affeld, 67, former Valparaiso resident, died Monday night in a Michigan City hospital from effects of a stroke suffered while at his employment as guard at the state prison north.
Surviving are the widow; one son, George, and a daughter, Mrs. Lawrence Wishbon, both of Michigan City; a brother, Ernest Affeld, Valparaiso; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Luby Funeral Home in Michigan City.
