Gottlieb Breitkreutz was born 15 Feb 1825 to Johann Breitkreutz and Anna Rosina nee Gramse/Gramss in Stieglitz near Posen, Prussia (now Poland). He married Ernestina Breitkreutz, daughter of Michael and Rosina nee Kriening Breitkreutz on 1 Dec 1954, also in Stieglitz. In 1861 they immigrated with their two oldest children to the US. They had a son, Otto Friedrich, in Canada before settling in Morris, Grundy County, Illinois.
By the time of his naturalization, the name Breitkreutz had been changed to Bright.
Evergreen Cemetery records indicate that Gottlieb was burried 3/22/1878 in Block 12, grave 9. He was removed to Lot 74 Block 2 on 5/24/1893.
