George Bonnett, 76, died Monday afternoon at the Utah Valley Hospital of a heart condition.
He was born August 22, 1881 in Provo, a son of James and Ann Hughes Bonnett. He received his education in Provo schools.
On June 14, 1909, he married Harriett Laycock in Provo, where they made their home. He worked for the Utah Power and Light Company for 20 years as a construction lineman in Utah and Idaho. He was also a successful farmer.
Surviving are his wife, two sons and two daughters, G. Russell Bonnett, Salt Lake City; Stanford J. Bonnett, Orem; Mrs. Charles (Ann) Oaks, Provo; Mrs. Glen (Lorna) Cates, Los Angeles; nine grandchildren, one brother and two sisters, Ellis Bonnett, Chico, California; Mrs. Celia Coe, Los Angeles, and Mrs. May Hoffman, Sacramento.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Berg Drawing Room Chapel. Burial will be in the Provo City Cemetery.
