Son of Walter Wightman and Emma Elizabeth Evans Braddy.

LATTA - William Wightman Braddy, eldest son of Walter Wightman and Emma Evans Braddy, died suddenly at his father's home at Latta last night. Widely and prominently connected, the grandson on his paternal side of W. W. and Elizabeth Evans Braddy of Marion and on his maternal side of Capt. W. B. and Sue Berry Evans of Sellers, a host of friends and relatives mourn his passing. He was 28 years old in February.

Bill, as he was lovingly known, was stricken with encephalitis in 1920. A seeming cure eventually left him physically delicate for 14 years with marvelous fortitude he bore much pain but kept a wonderfully sweet and cheerful disposition which endeared him to all who knew him. In spite of bodily affliction he was mentally alert to the last. His accurate memory made many call upon him for information.

Surviving are his parents; grandmother Evans; two sisters, Mrs. D. A. King of Columbia and Mrs. C. D. Napier Jr. of Blenheim; one brother, R. Olin Braddy of Latta; and many aunts and uncles.

Burial will be from the residence at 5 o'clock Sunday afternoon in Magnolia Cemetery. Pallbearers will be former schoolmates.
