MADISON C. BANKS
 Madison C. Banks, of 545 Twenty-third street, Manhattan. Beach, passed away at his home Sunday evening, after many years of ill health. He was the husband of Della E. Banks, proprietor of Dells Variety Shop, in Manhattan Beach. Mr. Banks was a retired shoe salesman and for thirty years was assistant manager of the Wood River Tannery. He was born in Little Rock, Arkansas and was in business in St. Louis, Missouri. The family had lived In Manhattan Beach for four years. In addition to Mrs. Banks, a son, Bertram, of St. Louis, and a sister, Mrs. C. B. Gannaway, Sr., of Pine Bluffs, survive.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, at the Glade L. White funeral chapel, followed by burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The son came from his home in St. Louis by airplane in time for the service.
