GALENA, Kan. — Grace Stella Myers, 92, 1516 Lincoln Drive, died at 9:03 a.m. Wednesday at Baxter Memorial Hospital, Baxter Springs, after an illness.
Mrs. Myers was born Jan. 28, 1894, at Crestline and was a lifetime resident of Cherokee County. She was a member of the Apostolic Faith Church.
She married Jeroam [Patrick 'Roamy'] Myers March 11, 1910. He died Sept. 22, 1936.
Surviving are five sons, Lee Jeroam Myers, Lawrence, Samuel Myers, Downey, Calif., Ervin Myers, Galena, Norman Myers, Galena route 2, and Chester Myers, Wheat Ridge, Colo.; two daughters, Dorothy Longa, Sacramento, Calif., and Wanita Scott, Galena route 2; a sister, Alice Scott, Galena; 40 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Derfelt Funeral Home. The Rev. Paul Clanton will officiate. Burial will be in Hill Crest Cemetery.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
