GALENA, Kan. -- Alice Shira Stansberry Scott, 91, West 21st Street, died at 8:30 p.m. Monday at a Galena nursing home after a long illness.

Mrs. Scott was born May 22, 1903, in the Medoc community in Missouri.

She came to Galena in 1910. She was a homemaker.

She was the eldest member and the member with the longest tenure at the Apostolic Faith Church, Galena.

She was also a member of the Spring Grove Whatnot Club of Galena.

She married Frank E. Stansberry on Dec. 13, 1918, in Galena. He died Aug. 7, 1963.

She married Bert W. Scott on Dec. 4, 1964, at Miami, Okla. He died March 17, 1992.

Survivors include four sons, Clyde Stansberry and Lonnie Stansberry, both of Galena, Johnny Stansberry, Mount Hope, and Bill Stansberry, Carl Junction, Mo.; four daughters, Ruby Rhinehart, Webb City, Mo., Angie Shaver, Wichita, Joyce Hopkins, Springdield, Ore.; and Betty Sweet, Galena; 44 grandchildren; and 24 great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Apostolic Faith Church, Galena. The Rev. Paul Clanton, the Rev. Joel Dorris and the Rev. Charles Idleman will officiate.

Burial will be in Lowell Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena.

Family will be at the home of a daughter, Betty Sweet, 1506 E. 13th St.
