In the High Age of Nearly 84 years. Died on Last Monday after a brief illness widow Katherine Margarethe Pfeifer, nee Streng, in the house of her youngest son Philip Pfeifer, southeast of Helenville. Mother Pfeifer, as she was known by all, was a good hearted woman, a true Christian and a mother to her children and grandchildren in the fullest sense of the word.
The deceased was born in the Kingdom of Wurtemberg, Administrative District of Gerabronn, County of Fagst on 26 Feb 1828. In the early part of the year 1854 she came to America and in the fall of the same year she married John George Pfeifer, who preceded her in death in 1905. From this marriage 12 children were born, 3 died in their youth.
She reached the age of 83 yrs., 7 months, and 4 days.
The Funeral is Thursday evening through St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Helenville. Pastor Edw. Fredrich officiating. Burial to be in St. Peter's Cemetery.
