P. Pfeifer Sr., 84, Helenville Passes Away
JEFFERSON - Philip C. Pfeifer Sr., 84, Helenville, passed away Friday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Reuben Fritch, Waterloo, followin an illness of six months.
He was born May 1, 1874, in Helenville; the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Pfeifer, and was a farmer in that area all his life until he went to Waterloo to live with his daughter 18 months ago. On Sept. 17, 1903, he was married to Ella Herbert, Koshkonong.
Surviving are his wife; four daughters, Mrs. Elmer Zimmerman and Mrs. Neil Bohnsack, Johnson Creek, Mrs. Reuben Fritch and Mrs. Junior Gordon [Jordan], Waterloo; four sons, Alvin and Philip Jr., Fort Atkinson, Edwin, Whitewater, and Roy, with the U. S. Army in Seaside, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Barbara Roth, Helenville; 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Two sisters and eight brothers preceded him in death.
The funeral will be held Tuesday afternon at 2 o'clock in St. Peter's Lutheran Chruch, Helenville, the Rev. G. P. Fischer officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call at the Minshall Funeral Home beginning at noon Sunday and until Tuesday noon at which the body will be taken to the church to lie in state until the hour of service.
