Maudie Mae Hanaway age 76, of Wheatfield, Ind. passed away peacefully on April 5, 2011 at Porter Hospital, Valparaiso, Ind. She was born on March 29, 1935 in Salyersville, KY to Ollie and Bertha (Conley) Bailey, both deceased.
On Feb. 17, 1951 she married Dennis Hanaway Sr. who survives. She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church, DeMotte where she was a Sunday School teacher. Maudie also was a wonderful cook who loved gardening, reading and playing Bluegrass & Country Music on the guitar. She enjoyed her family and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Maudie is survived by her loving husband, Dennis Hanaway, Sr.

Lisa Paiz, Fowler; Dennis Hanaway Jr, Valparaiso, and Jeffrey Hanaway, Delphi,
Brothers & sisters; Ethel O'Banion, New Carlisle, Fred Bailey, Kouts, Grover (Phyllis) Bailey,
Kentland, Bud Bailey, Wanatah, Bill Bailey, Rensselaer, Margie (Robert) Coley, Chicago, IL, and Barb (Tom) Coley, Rensselaer; 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren
Preceded in death by her parents & 2 sisters.
Friends may call on Friday April 8, 2011 from 2-8 PM at Jackson Funeral Service, DeMotte.
Funeral Services will be held at Jackson Funeral Service, DeMotte, Ind. on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 2 p.m. Interment at DeMotte Cemetery
