Susan, wife of Samuel (Simon) Overcash, died at her home along the Falling Spring road on Saturday evening at 8:45 o'clock. Mrs. Overcash was a good woman and was a member of the Lutheran church at Grindstone Hill. Had she lived one day longer, she would have been 70 years old, as her birthday was April 5.
Besides her husband, the following children survive: Mrs. Daniel Monn, Mrs. John Miller, George Overcash, all of Illinois; Mrs. George Davis, of Jeannette; Mrs. Clark Shafer, of Waynesboro; Theodore, of New Franklin; Augustus, Falling Spring; John, at home, and Mrs. Joseph Patterson, of Knepper's.
The funeral will leave the house Wednesday at 1 p.m. with services and interment at the Lutheran church at Grindstone Hill.
