Mariah and Sugar are my 2nd great grandparents, she was 14yrs old when she married Sugar Josephus John Bonds. (abt 1849) They had 6 children before he died 11/24/1862 at Knoxville, TN of injuries he received in battle in the Civil War.

She never married M.T. but these children are theirs. I read she didn't want to lose her Government Civil War Pension from S.J. Bonds who died in the CSA, that was why she didn't marry M.T. Hutchinson he was her common law husband.
