Adam Cooper Dille married Susan Hager. They had two known children- a daughter named Elnora born around 1859 and a son named George E born sometime after 1860.

Adam served in the Civil War. He was a Private of Company B, 140th Infantry of PA Volunteers. He mustered in 4 Sep 1862, was wounded 2 Apr 1865 at Petersburg, VA and then discharged by general orders on 28 Jun 1865. He received an invalid pension 4 May 1868 from his wounds during the war. On 21 May 1869, his wife Susan filed for a widow's pension. Then on 24 Jul 1874, his son George E filed for minor class pension through a guardian.
