SHAMOKIN - Marjorie Evelyn Heidler, 85, of Shamokin passed away at 6 a.m. Thursday Jan. 30, 2003, at Manor Care Center, Sunbury, where she had been a resident for the past two months.

Born Dec. 13, 1917, in Backus, MN, she was a daughter of the late John and Ida (Franson) Erickson. Her husband, Ralph Heidler, whom she married Aug. 28, 1937, passed away July 26, 1985.

Surviving are: six daughters, Naomia Haddon, Shamokin, Ruby Tupper, Williamsport, Rose Clark, New Enterprise, Marjorie Platon, Duncansville, Lillian Brooks, Newtown Square, and Hettie Winstead, Altoona; seven sons, Frank, Needmore, Ralph, Honolulu, HI, Donald, Altamonte, FL, Joseph Loveland, OH, Jonathan, Washington Court House, OH, Meredith, Lewistown, Norman, Altoona; a sister, Anita Pacey, Ellsworth, KS; a step-sister, Valeta Plank, Chicago City, MN; 41 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Calise, six brothers and sisters and a step-sister.

She was a member of God's Missionary Church, Millmont. She enjoyed sewing and baking.

Her funeral services will be held at 11 a.m.Tuesday at the Millmont God's Missionary Church with Rev. Frank Heidler officiating. Interment will be in Hartleton Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:30-9 p.m. Monday in the Beavertown Chapel of Aurand Funeral Homes, 316 W. Market St., Beavertown.

Friends may call in the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday.
