burial in Evangeline Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Pitre, a longtime resident of Opelousas and a native of Ville Platte, died at 5:50 a.m. Thursday, March 29, 2001, in Maison deVille
Nursing Home in Opelousas.
Survivors include: a son, Howard W. Pitre of Ville Platte; three sisters, Mary Pitre of Lawtell, Ivy Dupre of Opelousas and Mrs. Audrey
Hebert of Metairie; grandchild, Mrs. Wanda Simoneaux Starks of Lafayette; three great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Pitre was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Pitre; and a daughter, Emma Elias.
