Betty Geraldine Basom, of Selinsgrove formerly of Duncannon, entered into rest on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at GraysonView, Selinsgrove. She was the wife of the late Donald B. Basom. Betty was born on March 21, 1925, in Liverpool; a daughter of the late Wilson B. and Florence E. (Grubb) Barner. Betty is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Wendalee "Wende" B. and Douglas Albeck of Newport; three grandchildren and their spouses; Talia Lynn and Dean Davis of Delaware, Kevin Michael and Alysia Albeck of Barstow, CA, and Daniel James Albeck of Millerstown; eight great grandchildren, a brother Donald Barner and his wife Mary of Harrisburg; a sister Joyce Stahl and her husband George of Sunbury, and nieces and nephews, and her dog "Sam". She was preceded by a brother Kenneth Barner, and two sisters Nancy Barner in infancy, and Dorothy Bair. Friends and family are invited to the viewing on Monday, February 20, 2012 from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 AM all from the George P. Garman Funeral Homes, Inc. 606 N. Front St., Liverpool. Officiating will be Pastor Jesse A. Bingaman. Burial will be made in Barner's Cemetery, Liverpool. Should friends desire memorial gifts may be made in loving memory of Betty to Evangelical Hospice, One Hospital Drive, Lewisburg, PA 17837.
