Rhogene Aesque Puckett, 86, formerly of 724 N. Church Street, died Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012 at Lake Norman Regional in Mooresville. She was born in Scott County, VA on March 24, 1925, daughter of the late George and Dracy Freeman Aesque. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, James David Puckett in 2002; a son, Kenneth Von Puckett; daughter, Jewell Puckett White; sister, Susie Aesque Donahue; son-in-law, Ross Perkins; grandsons, Brian Perkins and Stephen Puckett; and a great-granddaughter, Brittany Luther. Survivors include sons, Raymond Puckett and Tammy of Kingsport, TN; Ronnie Puckett and Pam of Love Valley, NC; Gary Puckett and Bessie of Mooresville, and Jackie Puckett of Mooresville; daughters, Millie Perkins of Mooresville, Brenda Ellis and Mike of Mooresville; and brother, Joseph Aesque of Webber City, VA; 19 grandchildren, 34 greats & 7 great-greats. The funeral service will be held at Neill Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Johnny Abee in charge. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
