Services for Harry A. McKeever, 65 year old Morning Sun resident, were held Wednesday afternoon in the Pierce funeral home with the Rev. Robert Dodder of Wilton Junction and the Rev. David Mack of Morning Sun officiating. McKeever died Monday in Burlington hospital following a long period of declining health. Burial was in Elmwood cemetery.
Harry Archie McKeever was the son of James and Anna Lowdin (Loudin) McKeever and was born in Fulton county, Illinois on August 7, 1891. On October 28, 1914 he was married to Daisy Nelson who survives as do two sons and two daughters. These are Mitchell McKeever, Dows, Iowa, Clinton McKeever, Morning Sun, Mrs Arsema Ament, Chariton and Mrs. Elnora Kisler, Mediapolis. Also surviving are two brothers, Ralph and William McKeever, and a sister, Mrs. Margaret McConahay, all of Morning Sun, and nine grandchildren. His father and a sister are dead as is on son Merlin, killed during the war in Korea.
