Allison Funeral Home — Delbert Wayne McWhirter, age 64, passed away on June 2, 2011. Mr. McWhirter was born on November 15, 1946, in DeQuincy, Louisiana, to Delbert U. McWhirter, Jr. and Dorothy Baggett McWhirter.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Wanda Gail Freedman McWhirter, his son, Clinton Dwayne McWhirter, his daughter, Kimberly Anne and her husband Calvin Brown Jr. His surviving siblings are Pam and husband Tom Easterling, Linn and wife Colleen, Hal and wife Becky, and Kris and husband Wayne Trimmier. Also, 5 nephews, 3 nieces and 4 great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held at Allison Funeral Home, Liberty, Texas on Saturday, June 4, at 2:00PM. Visitation with the family will begin two hours before the service. All former students attending will serve as honorary pallbearers.
