Norway - Services for Lillian Garrick Whetstone, 79, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bethel Baptist Church in Cope with entombment at Bamberg County Memory Gardens. Visitation is from 7-9 p.m. this evening at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., of Orangeburg, which is in charge. Memorials may be made to Bethel Baptist Church, 3705 Cope Road, Cope, SC 29038. Mrs. Whetstone died Wednesday. Surviving are her sons, Bruce F. Whetstone Jr. of Norway, Eldon P. Whetstone Sr. of Chattanooga, Tenn., Eldon P. Whetstone Jr. of Cope; daughters, Kimberly Kay Whetstone of Cope; Mrs. John W. (Sue) Fort of Cope; sister, Ina Garrick Dunn of Columbia; brother, Lueldon Garrick of Springfield; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. © The State, Columbia, SC, 11 Feb 2000
