City Businessman Dies at Age of 54
Raymond Matteson, 54, resident here for three and a half years, died Tuesday after a long illness. He was owner and operator of Ray's Book Exchange. A native of Deming, Matteson lived at 2711 Fourth NW. He was a World War II veteran, and a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the American Legion. He was a past grand patriarch of the IOOF. Survivors are his three sons, a daughter, and three sisters. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Exter-Tonella Mortuary.
