WELTY LAMAR MALONE, 87, of Memphis, went peacefully home to the Lord on January 10, 2011 at the Ave Maria Nursing Home. He was born in Weir, MS to Charles Benjamin Malone and Angie Ellis Malone. He was a retired dispatcher for ABF. Mr. Malone is survived by his wife, Willie Mae Malone; daughter, Shirley J. Bell of Houston, TX; stepchildren, Linda Pitts of Covington, LA and Dr. David Witherspoon of Rogers, AR; grandchildren, Benny Steven Bell, Bobby C. Bell, both of Houston, TX; step-grandchildren, Lauren Pitts of Atlanta, GA, Megan Witherspoon of Waco, TX and Amy Witherspoon of Fayetteville, AR; brother, J.T. Malone of Brighton, TN; sister, Ella Pearl Campbell of Como, MS, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m. Thursday, January 13 at Forest Hill East Funeral Home, with services and interment to follow.
