He was born on March 5, 1929 in Weir, MS to Charles B. and Angie (Ellis) Malone. He was a loving faithful husband of 68 years, a dedicated follower of Christ for 63 years, and a member of City of Refuge in Atoka, TN.
He was preceded in death by two sons: John Thomas Malone, Jr. (1951, Memphis, TN) and Dennis Terry Malone (2011, Memphis, TN).
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou (Jones) Malone; daughters: Donna Smith (Ron) and Cheryl Stempert; sons: Charles Malone (Pam) and John A. Malone (Glenda); daughter-in-law, Sandra Malone, wife of late son, Dennis Malone; 14 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Thursday, August 2, 2018 from 6-8 pm. A funeral service will be held Friday, August 3, 2018 at 1:00 pm. All services and interment will be at Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park, East.
