William E. Kelly, aged 79, of Duncansville, died suddenly last evening at 8:01 o'clock at the Mercy hospital where he was admitted Tuesday after being struck by an automobile. Members of his family were at his bedside when he died.
Mr. Kelly has been treated at the hospital for a fracture of the right thigh and lacerations of the scalp and right hand. He had been hunting and while crossing route 22 near Mountain Lake was struck by a car.
He was born March 29, 1868, in Juniata Township, the son of George and Mary (Mash) Kelly. He is survived by is wife, Mrs. Mary C. (Schilling) Kelly; a son Wilmer R. at home; five daughters, Mrs. Pearl Gibboney of Duncansville, Mrs. Mae Bowser of Altoona, Mrs. Esther Eiseman of Arlington, VA, Mrs. Olive Gardei of Los Vegas, Nev., and Miss Edna Kelly of Harrisburg; four grandchildren, one great-grandchild and the following brothers and sistera; Eugene G. Kelly of Altoona, Miss Florence Kelly oa Altoona, Mrs. J. K. Landis of Duncnasville and Miss Myra Kelly of Altoona.
He was a member of the Lutheran church and was a retired machinist in the E. and M. shop of the Altoona works.
Friends will be received after 7 o'clock this evening at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Pearl Gibboney of 610 North Thirteenthe street, Duncansville.

Duncansville, Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock to charge of the Rev. G. B. Harmon. Interment in the Lutheran church cemetery at Newry Friends are being received at the home of his daughter 610 North Thirteenth street, Duncansville.
