Linda K. Smith, 60, of Des Moines passed away July 13, 2009 at Taylor House in Des Moines from complications of diabetes.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 16, 2009 at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial to follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Linda was born April 23, 1949 in Springfield, IL the daughter of Lenord James and Anna Diamond (Flanagan) Boyd. She moved to Des Moines in 1955 and married her husband Tom in 1977. Linda worked for the Iowa Health System for 23 years. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, fishing and spending time with her family, especially her three precious granddaughters.
Linda leaves behind her loving husband, Tom; children, Catherine (Brad) Steffens, T. J. (Sabrina) Smith and Christine (Chad Goforth) Smith; three grandchildren, Lexis Smith, Ani Smith and Abagayle Steffens; aunt, Darlene (Bruce) Copeland; and her uncle, Wayne (Muriel) Robinson. She was preceded in death by her mother, Anna and her father, Lenord
