Lone Tree Reporter, Thursday, December 3, 1953

Funeral services were held yesterday at the Evangelical and Reformed church for Mrs. Leona H. Stock, who passed away at her home in Lone Tree on Monday, November 28. Services were held at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Otto Baumann officiating. (Monday was November 30, 1953)

Mrs. Phyllis Brown presided at the organ and accompanied Miss Margaret Ann Burr, who was soloist.

Leona Hilda Stock, who was a lifelong resident of Lone Tree, was born in Lincoln township, August 17, 1883, the daughter of William and Minnie Keyser Timmerman. She was married to Fred Stock, February 3, 1915. At the time of her death she was 70 years, 3 months and 13 days of age.

Mrs. Stock was a member of the Lone Tree Evangelical and Reformed church.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Leland Stock, of Iowa City and Duane Stock of Lone Tree; two brothers, A. A. Timmerman, of Iowa City, and Walter Timmerman of Lone Tree; and four grandchildren.

Mrs. Stock was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Fred Timmerman.

Burial was in the Lone Tree cemetery with Sorden and Adams in charge of arrangements.

Pallberarers were Emil Meyer, August Meyer, Jodie Heath, Charles Buline, George Hudachek, Emora Attig, William Ashton and Steve Schuessler. Flower helpers at the church were Mrs. Emora Attig, Mrs. Kenneth Wolf, Mrs. August Meyer and Mrs. Steve Schuessler.
