One of Cara's 3rd great-grandmothers.

In Sept 1836, Aloisa/Aloisia Schoeffter/Schoefter/Schefter/Schaeffter (dau. of Philip Schoefter & Magdeline Siegfried/Sigfried) married John Theobald Wadel in New Germany (now Maryhill), ON, Canada.

Information indicates that she was buried in Mary Immaculate Roman Catholic Cemetery (OLD) as the new cemetery of the same name is just up the road and only allows flat stones.

She is said to have one of her sons, Rev. Stephen Wadel, named on her stone as well, although he is buried in Guelph, ON.

Old Mary Immaculate is behind the Mary Immaculate Church and the New Mary Immaculate cemetery is down farther, closer to the ball diamond, and on the opposite side of the street of the Old one.

**in the summer of 2012 I went to the graveyard to try to find her stone, but there were many that were completely unreadable.

She and John Theobald Wadel were the parents of:

Maria Anna 1838 – 1899 (wife of Anton/Anthony Scherer/Scherrer)
Joseph 1839 – 1923 (husband of Catherine Klein/Kline & later Mary Maria Bildstein)
John 1841 – 1924 (husband of Agatha Schroeder/Shroeder)
Magdalena 1842 – ? (wife of Joseph Seitz)
Anna 1845 – 1929 (wife of Nicholaus Mueller/Miller & later Nicholas Wellhauser)
Katharina 1847 – 1851
Rev. Stephen Eugene 1848 – 1906
Catharine 1851 – 1929 (wife of Henry Hess)
One of Cara's 3rd great-grandmothers.
