Former Resident Here Is Killed

A former Shreveport resident was killed and four other persons injured in a two-car collision in Ellon Saturday. Mrs. Cynthia G. Hastings, 53, was a resident of Baton Rouge, having moved there from Shreveport about 20 years ago.

State police said that hospitalized in nearby Eunice were the dead woman's son, Thomas, 21. reportedly suffering minor injuries: and Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Wilson Smith and their 8-year-old son, Thomas, of Henderson, Tex.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hastings will be held at 3 p.m. Monday in the Welch Funeral Home in Baton Rouge. Burial will be in the Green Oaks Memorial Park Cemetery in Baton Rouge.

Immediate survivors include her husband. E. T. Hastings of Baton Rouge: and two sons, Thomas and William Hastings.

According to state police Mrs Hastings' son 21-year-old Thomas of Baton Rouge Mr and Mrs Woodrow Wilson Smith anti their 8-year-old son of Henderson Tex sustained minor injuries in the collision All four were hospitalized in Eunice near the scene of the accident.

Surviving are Mrs Hastings' husband E T Hastings and her two sons Thomas and William, all of Baton Rouge
