Donald V. Combs, was born Jan. 26, 1920 to Lawrence & Myrtle Combs (Smith) in Wichita, Ks. Don proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and received several commendations for his service. Joining Boeing in Kansas after the war, moved his family to the Puget Sound Region in 1962, and continued working for Boeing the next 20 years.Don married Laura Jane Robbins in Wichita in 1940. They had 3 children Michael, Donna & Loren. Michael preceeded him in death in 1981. Also is survived by grandchildren Jennifer, Josh, Cammie and Jenny. His siblings include sisters, Marilee Walters, Nancy Lee of Wichita, sister Carol Hinds of Tahlequah, Ok. Brothers Robert & Dale Reed of Wichita. Also preceeded in death by his parents and two brothers Jerry Combs and Loren D. Reed. Don was an excellant photographer, he loved the outdoors, and in retirement he and Laura Jane traveled in their favorite travel camper. Don was a kind and generous man, who loved his family, and friends. He is sorely missed.Service Branch: NAVY
