Emmett F. Burrier, 65, of Kilgore died Tuesday, May 24, in his home. He had been in failing health for two years. Born in Carroll County November 23, 1894, he was a son of the late Frank and Elsia (Beckley) Burrier. A veteran of World War 1, Mr. Burrier had been employed for 32 years at he Fred Campbell farm, Kilgore. He was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church at Kilgore.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Ruth (Goff) Burrier; two daughters, Mrs. Roy Burrier and Mrs. John Kail of Carrollton; two brothers, Jess of Amsterdam and Earl of Kilgore; three sisters, Mrs. Grace Warner and Mrs. Mae Warner of Amsterdam and Mrs. Anna Burrier of Germano, and two grandchildren. Services were Friday at the Sweeney Funeral Home in Amsterdam with the Rev. William D. Wolfe officiating. Burial was in Kilgore Cemetery.
