Mrs. Amy Broeker, New London, died at the Beauchamp nursing home, in Winfield, at 4:45 p.m. Sunday (January 5, 1964). Death came two days after her 78th birthday. She was the mother of Mr. Edward Junior Broeker of 2038 Gnahn Street and of Mrs. Dorothea Louise Kerr of 1903½ South 13th Street, and the sister of Mr. Harry Michaels of 704 South Central Avenue. Last rites will be held at the Elliott Chapel, in New London, at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Reverend Clarence Morrison, pastor of First Methodist church of New London, will officiate. Burial will in Trinity cemetery, near Yarmouth.

The former Amy Michaels, she was the daughter of David and Matilda Gapen Michaels, born at Yarmouth on January 3, 1886. She was married to Edward W. Broeker at Burlington on November 24, 1909; he died September 27, 1951.

Mrs. Broeker was of the Methodist faith.

Besides the relatives in Burlington, she is survived by a son, Frederick David Broeker of Winfield. Eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive. A son, Elmer Broeker, died previously, as did several brothers and sisters.
