Mrs. Bertha M. DeVette, age 91, died Monday, September 27, 2004. She was born in Muskegon on January 23, 1913 to Tiete & Anna (Bolthouse) Clock and married Dr. Harold Loughery in 1934 and he preceded her in death in 1945. She then married Paul DeVette in 1947 and he preceded her in death in 1993. Mrs. DeVette was a graduate of Hackley School of Nursing and had worked for Planned Parenthood, the Muskegon County Health Department, and the Nearly New Shop. She was a former member of PEO and a member of First Presbyterian Church.
SURVIVORS
3 daughters, Mary (Norman) Nichols of NY, Lois (Martin) Waalkes of Grand Rapids, Jeanne DeVette of Muskegon, 5 grandchildren, Robert (Cathi) Waalkes, James (Lisa) Waalkes, Susan (Bradley) Petty, Elizabeth (Steven) McBrady, Susan Nichols. Special friends, Thelma Harris, Clarisse Harris, & Frances Garrett.

Thursday, September 30, 2004, 11:00 AM at Clock Chapel with Rev. Fred Halde officiating. Internment at Oakwood Cemetery.
