COLORADO CITY ~~ Jesse L. Phelan, 77, of Colorado City died at 6:40 p.m. Thursday in Root Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Colorado City Cemetery directed by Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Born November 3, 1899 in Lampasas County, he was a service station attendant. He married Lula Elliott January 6, 1961 in Colorado City. She died February 9, 1973.
Survivors include four step-daughters, Mrs. Bill Justice and Mrs. Parker Jarman of Colorado City, Elnora Phillips of Tacoma, and Mrs. Leslie Bassinger of El Dorado; two step-sons, Wesley Elliott of Colorado City and Darrell Elliott of Snyder.
