Born the last of four children of Edwin E. Graham & Emma E. Lawrence. In about 1901, Gertrude moved to New York City where she became a minor actress on Broadway at the Manhattan Theater. On Oct. 16, 1902, at the Church of the Incarnation in Philadelphia she and Alfred Edward Vultee were married by Rev. Joseph D. Newlin. Vultee was a Manhattan real estate broker with offices at 45 Broadway & 114 W 32nd Street, who lived first in Jersey City, NJ and then in Manhattan. The marriage didn't last long and they are found living apart in 1910. They had one daughter, Natalie, who was raised by Gertrude's sister Alice after Gertrude's death. Gertrude fell sick after returning from a trip to Europe on the SS President Lincoln, sailing from Hamburg on September 9, 1911. She died at Perrigo's Hospital, 293 Central Park West, Manhattan.
