He was born September 30, 1931 in Gilbert to the union of his parents, Charlie E. and Emmit Edwards Walker.
Dudley moved to Jena in 1955 and was a salesman for Continental Emsco Oilfield Supply. In 1977, he moved to Conroe, Texas, where he worked as a salesman for Bo Gray Casing. He returned to Jena in 1990.
Dudley served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
Services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 24, at the East Jena Baptist Church with the Revs. Mack Walker, Craig James, Johnnie Phillips and Ronnie Tarver officiating.
Interment followed in the Pine Grove Cemetery at Rhinehart under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Bettye Clark Walker; brothers, Rev. Larry Walker, Willie Walker, Charlie F. Walker and Genie Walker; and a sister, Bonnie Collins.
Survivors include his son, Dudley "Michael" Walker and wife Linda of Trout; two daughters, Renae Walker Kelly and husband James Glen of Jonesville and Melanie Walker Beard and husband George J. of Jena; two brothers, Rev. Mack Walker and E. W. Walker, both of Jonesville; one sister, Venie Emfinger of Dunbarton; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Dickie Clark, Dustin Beard, Jesse Beard, Matt Coldiron, Adron Walker, Clint Cooksey, Johnny Stapleton and Craig Walker.
