SECOND AUTO FATALITY THIS YEAR
E. W. MARTIN died at Jefferson county hospital Saturday evening
Eugene W. MARTIN, 39, died Saturday at 7:30 p.m. from injuries received when he was thrown from a car a mile and a half west of Fairfield on Friday evening.
Funeral services will be held from the Weston Behner Funeral Home on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m., Rev. S. P. Williamson will officiate. Burial will be in the Evergreen cemetery.
Mr. MARTIN was born January 19, 1901 in Van Buren county. He was employed as an iron molder in the foundry at the Dexter company for many years, having been a resident of Fairfield most of his life.
Surviving are his father, Charles E. MARTIN, Fairfield, Ia. and one brother, Milton MARTIN, Fairfield, Ill. Also two sisters Mrs. Verne CAREY, Rock Island, Ill., Mrs. William BRUDERS, Fairfield, Ia. survive. His mother preceded him in death on January 18, 1939.
