C. MARTIN, 73 PASSES AWAY

Charles MARTIN, 73, well known Fairfield carpenter, passed away suddenly Tuesday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. william BRUDERS in Sedro Wooley, Washington.

Funeral services are planned for Saturday at 2:00 o'clock (sic) from the Weston Behner Funeral Home. Burial in the Evergreen cemetery.

Mr. MARTIN left Fairfield about December 1, 1944 and planned to spend the winter with his daughter and family in Washington.

He was born in Van Buren county and had spent practically all his life in Fairfield and Birmingham communities. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias of Fairfield and also a past chancelor of that lodge.

Mr. MARTIN is survived by three children, Mrs. Verne CAREY of Rock Island, Mrs. William BRUDERS of Sedro Woolley, Washington, and Milton MARTIN of Burmingham and three sisters; Mrs. Nancy CATCOTT, Birmingham, Mrs. Cora CROSS, Fairfield; and Mrs. Beulah HINNING, Floris, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1939 and a son, Eugene MARTIN, in 1940.

The body will arrive about noon Saturday.
