Elma 'Denie' Stahlnecker
COLTON -- Elma "Denie" Stahlnecker of Colton died Sept. 2, 2004, in Oregon City. She was 84.
A funeral service was held Sept. 8 at Molalla Funeral Chapel, with burial at Elwood Cemetery in Colton.
She was born May 19, 1920, in Oregon City to John and Clara Strean.
As a child, she moved to Fernwood and then to Elwood.
Elma married Ugene Stahlnecker in 1937; he preceeded her in death in 1989.
The couple moved to several places, where her husband would find work in the timber industry, but finally settled in Elwood, where she remained until her death.
She was a homemaker, and was a member of the Mt. Home Church of Elwood.
Survivors include sons Eldon Stahlnecker of Colton, Dennis Stahlnecker of Elwood and Glen Stahlnecker of Molalla; daughter Janice Wilcox of Colton; brother Kenneth Strean of Molalla; 16 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
