Wanda E nation, 91, passed away at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011, in Herring Hospital. Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Walker Hill Cemetery at Grand Tower, with Charles Burdick and Don Burchyett officiating. Family and friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery. Memorials may be made to Shawnee Christian Nursing Home. Pettett Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Wanda was born Sept. 17, 1919, in Pomona to Elias Calvin and Josephine (Rhodes)Clover. She was a lifelong resident of Grand Tower. She worked as a store clerk, as a dispatcher for the City of Grand Tower and as a librarian at Grand Tower Public Library for many years. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Vera Marlene Callis Nov. 17, 1993, five brothers, three sisters, and her parents. She is survived by one grandson, Dean and Sonja Callis of Philpot, Ky., four great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson, nine nieces, five nephews and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
