Elias Calvin Clover, 82, of Murphysboro, died in the Tyler Nursing Home in Murphysboro, Sunday, following an illness of three years. He was born in Waterloo, and lived in the Grand Tower area most of his life. He was a retired farmer and had lived in Murphysboro seven years. His wife, Josephine, died in 1949. Clover leaves daughters, Mrs. Jewel Bridgeman, Mrs. Ruth Vanover and Mrs. Wanda Nation. all of Grand Tower, sons Claude of Murphysboro and Bert and Howard, both of Grand Tower, 18 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, sisters, Mrs. Haley Cox of St. Louis, Mrs. Rosie Cripps of Pomona, and Mrs. Susie Wright of Grand Tower, brothers John and Charlie, both of Murphysboro, and Buck of Pomona. Clover was a member of the Methodist Church of Grand Tower, Friends may call at the Denny Funeral Home in Murphysboro, until services, Wednesday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the Hudson Cemetery near Grand Tower.
