GUE, MARY DALE, 68, of Louisville, passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2010 at Norton Hospital with her family by her side.
She was a retired teacher with JCPS and was a Catholic by faith.
She will be remembered as a thoughtful and caring person who put others before herself.
She was preceded in 2009 by her husband Arvon Gue; parents, Elstan B. and Edna Pate Hanke; and by her siblings, David Hanke Sr., Wanda Shelley and E. Paul Hanke.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Cynthia "Cindy" Kirkman (Michael), Sheri Anne Nelson; stepchildren, Shawnte "Missy" Gue and Damon Romel Gue; brother, Larry Hanke (Boo); sisters, Judy Hutchins (Ronnie), Joyce Craig (Calvin); sister-in-law, Dotty Hanke; and grandchildren, Taylor, Austin and Sarah, and Richard Hartman, friend and father to her children.
Mary Dale's Life Celebration memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2010, at noon at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with inurnment in Resthaven Memorial Park. A gathering of family and friends will be from 10:30 a.m. till noon at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Stroke Association or to Dare to Care-Food Bank.
