HARLEM - Fred Emil Hockhalter, a retired policeman who enjoyed fishing, playing pinochle, helping his friends brand on Sundays, picking juneberries, going on picnics and being outdoors in general, died of natural causes Monday, Feb. 6, at Sweet Nursing Home in Chinook. He was 101.
Survivors include his wife, 5 sons, 2 daughters, a brother, and numerous grandchildren.
