Pete Hockhalter, 77, died Sunday, July 1, 2001 at the Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital in Glasgow. He was born April 27, 1924 in the Baylor Community to John and Albina (Lehr) Hockhalter. He was a ranch hand and did butchering and was a collector. He also worked for the City of Nashua. He married Violet Miller and she died in 1978. He lived in the Glasgow and Nashua areas. He is survived by one son, Larry Hockhalter and his wife Barb; four daughters, Yevonne Norcutt and her husband Clarence, Evelyn Howell and her husband Travis, Gloria Labonte and her husband Scott, and Donna Sherwood; two sisters Tena Hockhalter and Kay Hockhalter; three brothers, Fred Hockhalter of Harlem, Aldolph Hockhalter of Baltimore, Maryland and John Hockhalter of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Bell Chapel in Glasgow on July 7 at 11 a. m. with Rev. David Rogenes officiating. Burial followed in the Nashua City Cemetery in Nashua.
