Mississippi marriages show John M. married Oct. 17, 1855 to Martha Crawford Nichols. Sometime after the War, they moved into Arkansas.
He was the father of John M Jr, and grandfather of Earl M, who also became physicians and practiced in Yell County AR where they are buried. Also, another son, Samuel Jefferson, bur. Conway, AR was a physician, as well.
