Esteemed Citizen Of West Point Is Laid To Rest Services were conducted Man-day from the West Point Baptist church for William Ewell Boyd, 77, who died Sunday night, following an illness of three weeks duration. The Rev. John W Faulkner, the Rev. W. M. Twiggs, and the Rev. Gradv Bradshaw officiated. Born in Chambers county at Boyd's Tank, Mr. Boyd had lived in West Point for 23 years, and during this entire time he had been connected with the cR in an official capacity. He was widely beloved for his genial disposition and fine comradeship. His membership was in the Baptist church. Surviving are his wife and seven children: Frank E of Montgomery: N. L.. of Gadsden: W. T of Sylacauga; Bryan, of Brevard, N. C.; Jack, of Pelham, Ga.; Mrs. M. B. Beckham, of Atlanta; and Mrs. Jim Stanley, Jr., of West Point; abo a number of grandchildren. Members of the city council in West Point were pallbearers.
