The new firm of Burton, Boyd & Company began business Monday morning. The members of the firm are Y. L. Burton, J. H. Boyd and R. P. Burton. They will carry a complete line of dry goods, groceries, etc., and the meat market, ice house and bottling works will also be under their management. The new addition to the building, which has just been completed, will be used as a dry goods department. This building was completed, ready for occupancy in seven weeks. This establishes a new record for house building in LaFayette.
